I'm in a good mood so here are my happy thoughts

TA4 has been super fun. I think SDS knows they (accidentally?) created a very inflated market this year and now they're just leaning into by handing out really good packs and rewards like candy.
I've been stockpiling exchange cards for months, so I exchanged almost every team to 70/110 (except for the yankees, cubs, and astros ...only 2 out of those 3 were intentionally ignored. i actually legitimately ran out of exchange cards for the yanks.). That way, I still have motivation to complete the conquest map for each team (30 points) and simultaneously complete the two stat missions for the remaining ten points. I'm done with the Sox, Twins, Mariners, and now I'm one or two games into San Diego.
The 30 conquest maps is the best idea of the entire 2021 game cycle, imo. Back in April and May (when the game was playing at its worst), I was one of the people getting nonstop disconnects, so I decided early on to be a 95% offliner this year. I finished the USA map I think 6 or 7 times. I can't believe I would put in about 12 hours for each run and all I'd get in return would be 10 The Show packs lol. So these new conquest maps rewards are awesome.
I've been making all-time theme teams to go along with each map. That way, I get TA innings, TA stats, and I get to use cards that in some cases I haven't used at all this year. Also, I've been syncing up my schedule to go along with the daily innings missions. My only tiny nitpick (and this is tiny!) is that I wish each team's conquest map was thematically a conquest as that team against their rivals. In other words, I wish the Sox map strongholds were the cubs, twins, royals, and indians, and that there was NOT a sox stronghold. That way (when playing with a sox theme team), I feel like I'm beating up on all my rivals and claiming the map for the sox. It feels weird to get to that last stronghold and play as all-time sox vs current sox. But that's an insignificant point.
Also, TA4 Showdown is almost embarrassingly easy. In a couple cases, you can finish off the mini boss in 1 pitch. You get to start with an absolute goon squad and I think 3/4 mini bosses let you start with guys on base. It's so easy and worth 20 TA points. I remember how stupidly stressful TA1 showdowns were, so I appreciate SDS giving us all a break. It's the holiday season, so we're all going to have fat fingers and stomachs full of turkey and stuffing and vicodin and fentanyl, so we can't be expected to play our best anymore.
I agree that the Finest cards are kind all over the map -- some are underwhelming while others are ridiculously overpowered (soto?????). But who cares. It's November. Don't use them if you don't like it.
One final wish: I hope SDS has some sort of awards card for Jose Abreu coming soon. He did get a pretty solid 97 TN, but he's almost certainly the best current player without a 99 this year. If Jacob Stallings has a 99, then the (hopefully) AL MVP deserves one too. But! He does have that 97, and we've got Frank and Konerko and SS Encarnacion, so the Sox are well represented at 1B.
That is all.

Tolstoy was such a douche. If I were to write a 1000-page novel, I certainly wouldn't waste time on peace. It would just be war, and then famine, then disease, then probably some aliens and maybe a sea monster.

LOL, I would absolutely read a book called "War & Aliens & Bewbs & Maybe a Sea Monster."
Come to think of it, November is National Novel Writing Month, so maybe I should write it and bestow this gift upon the world.

Harvesting these conquest maps has been great, 100% agree that the extra maps was a great idea.
Abreu deserves a Finest, and I feel Ozuna does too. I know Ozuna has a Topps Now card, but would have loved to have seen a juiced Finest card for him.
