How is there lag in offline modes!?
-
Over the last week or so, I've dealt intermittently with lag issues that were so bad that there was literally a visible time difference between when I hit the swing button and the batter actually swung. It happened again today so I decided to play showdown since obviously H2H wasn't happening and there was noticeable lag on showdown mode. Is that on SDS's end? I'm using the same PS4, controller, and internet I've been using so idk how it could be me but I'm not sure at this point.

Are you playing in MLB parks? It's well known that they suffer from frame drops which feels like lag.

Ya I've heard about that so definitely playing in minor league parks

Is your TV in game mode? Are you playing on a 4K TV with HDR? Is your HDR on or off? Are you playing on a Pro? Do you have the quality or fast setting checked on the video options?

I will check those things! I've never had problems on this TV before, but I have realized that recently the normal picture on the TV has changed too so I'm wondering if there was some sort of firmware update that reverted settings back

Same thing happened to me on a previous years game and I thought my TV was in game mode but it turns out that it wasn't and simply putting it to game mode fixed the problem. Not sure if it was user error or the TV resetting but definitely make sure the TV is set to game mode. I can play with HDR on 4K settings in video with no problems as long as I have my TV in game mode.
