Online Network Speeds

I have a question on my internet connection as I’ve gotten a few disconnects lately. The game hasn’t been laggy or anything but all of a sudden the game will disconnect. Once was after the 3rd out a fly ball to CF. The other was on a double after the runner slid into 2nd. Great connection up to then on both.
. The router offers both 2.4 and 5 ghz.
The 2.4 ghz is 100% signal strength and about 50 download 5-10 upload
The 5ghz is 90-95% signal strength but 80-100 download and 5-10 upload.
The ookla Speedtest from my tablet has about 15-20ms ping for both options.
The question is would the signal strength lead to more disconnects online? Or is the faster speed worth it? Not sure if there’s any tech people that could help with what is better.
Thanks!

Your internet speeds don't have much to do with disconnects. Wifi and wireless signals in general are prone to interference. If the interference is significant enough, you can lose connection. That's why it's always advised to play wired when possible, there is no interference that way. Especially if you live in a heavy traffic environment like an apartment complex where everybody is using wifi, the chances of this happening increases.

Stop playing online using wi-fi. That will probably solve many issues for many people.

Wired = significantly less likelihood of interference, but not no interference.

Wired isn’t really an option otherwise that’s the route I’d go. This is really just differentiating between the 2 options I have.

In a normal home network with decent cables, you should have next to none interference. But you're right, it's still possible statistically speaking.

I doubt the 5GHz signal strength would lead to more disconnects, it would just mean that it has to resend a few packets from the router that don’t make it. Trade off is that it’s faster inside your network.

Yes and also try to avoid running them alongside power
I don’t know enough about them but I’ve never understood those range extenders that’s send a signal along your electricity lines for this reason. Maybe I’m missing something?

I have the same problem for both wifi and lan connection

You arent gonna notice a difference gaming online between download speeds. 80-100 mbps isnt gonna look or feel any different then 24 mbps.
Unless of course you are downloading the game or an update to the game.

I actually work for the local cable/ internet company and Mine did the same thing early on...I couldnt finish a game and suffered losses...with 100% signal...65mbps...ended up being the coax cable for my modem was old and worn....nothing to do with the server but troubleshooting helped me for what its worth
