Yelich
-
Do we get a better version of Yelich this year than his LS? I hit the best with him and I would like to get an 18 MVP or signature series for him.
-
We might, who knows. Awards card is the most likely though because he is currently in his prime and he won’t get a sig series because I am fairly certain Trout was the only active player under 30 to get one last year. Just not enough service time for Yelich
-
Ok signature series is out, which I'm perfectly fine with. But he should at least get a better card like Bellinger. He was almost back to back MVP. Extremely impressive if you ask me.
-
I also hit real well with him. I hope he gets a better version too.
-
Every year there are finest cards, which end up being the best cards in the game. Last year the community voted, so if we vote for Yelich, sure, He'll get a beast end game card.

Can’t have finest cards if there isn’t a season. Hell with 60 games looking like the most realistic option for playing you might have a guy like Billy Hamilton have a hot 2 months and get a 99 finest card

SDS has figured out a way to get us POTM cards for the last three baseball-less months. I’m sure they’ll do something similar with Finest cards (and ASG, HRD, and PS) if there’s no season.

Yeah I get that, and Yelich could very easily get a finest card, but I really just don’t see them having THAT many finest cards with no season unless they put them into TA 4, but then you might as well just reuse the 19 finest cards because the majority of the teams didn’t have a finest card before last year

I’d be 100% fine with reusing the whole lot of 19 Finest. And I’m sure SDS will do anything that will sell stubs, so I can’t imagine not getting Finest cards again.
And I agree 100% about Yelich — his LS is a beast and I also raked with his Finest last year. Let it be known, SDS overlords, that I would buy stubs to pick up a Finest Yelich.
EDIT: I think most of us assume TA3 will be some sort of AS cards, but just reusing all the 19 Finest would be even cooler imo.

This is a business, and selling finest cards is worth a HUGE percentage of their total profit. They won't hurt their bottomline because there isn't a season.

I’m fine for most of the teams because you have really good options to put into TA4 for some teams like the indians who have 3 finest versions of Lindor to choose from, but how would you like to grind 220 TA points for your favorite team just for 2 of the 4 cards to be freaking Matt Boyd. I personally think finest was the plan for TA 4 from the get go but by re-using 19 finest for TA4 you will run into some of those problems

Interesting point. But, no offense to tigers fans, who else would get a Finest anyway?

I am thinking we get a round of like 97's for TA3 and then TA4 is the 99's. Maybe legends for each team at TA4.

That sounds about right. And since very few of the Finest were 99 (I feel like most were 95-97, right?), it’s still possible within that framework that we could get finest at TA3. I hate to think that we might have to wait until Fall to get the legends we all want (Frank, Mays, Griffey, Foxx, Ruth, etc), but it’s starting to feel that way based on the lack of huge names in inning programs and headliners.
Also, it seems like SDS had a roadmap from the beginning when putting out FotF cards, because very few of those guys are actually the “face of the franchise.” It should have been Abreu over moncada; miggy over Boyd; Kershaw over Turner; Chapman over Olsen; some rando cf over ohtani; Degrom over conforto, etc etc. The only teams that got it right are the ones who only have one (semi) marketable name (Anderson, Mancini, bell, posey). So they probably had something in mind (maybe finest, maybe not) to give us juiced versions of active players later on down the road.

I assume they had a roadmap, but who knows. For the FOTF, I just figured that they tried to pick a decent guy who didn’t already have an LS diamond. None of the LS diamonds got a FOTF, right?

People play this in the fall? I am bored to tears already. The gameplay hasn't changed in over a month. We have shiney new cards and a fancy feedback system but the game is still the same
