Rating Mod

Does anyone have a definitive understanding of rating mod this year?
There is definitely something at work with it because every time I play a ranked game with my theme team, I match with a much lower rated team.
Any theories?

It's like the opposite for me I'm always being matched with someone higher than my rating, feels like there's no middle ground at times with match ups

Are you dragging the analog all the way to the left while it searches?

I usually don't move it at all which is probably a reason, but you'd think it would be somewhere in the middle

Yeah, you need to pull it all the way left for closest matches to your rank.
