Let’s see ... I’ve got “rewarded,” terrible opponent always wins, broken pitching, biased programming, and RNG ... BINGO!!!!

Same old same old. Lol. Wah wah wahh. Same type to cry about that but gets gunned down 3 times on Sb attempts.. Tries to go 1st to 3rd on a hard hit single, pitches the same way all 9 innings against experienced players.. Then deny it so much they start believing them lies..
Anywayyyyy every thing good Schnz?

Classic apologist. "Don't play it." "Go play another game"

I would if there was any competition. You typed a lot of words for no reason.

Actually didn't defend anything as an apologist would. Mind you, I have no idea what is going on under the hood, so it would be hard to accuse or defend something other than anecdotally and based upon handpicked situations.

I merely pointed out that they are able to retain folks regardless of the stated unhappiness with suspected game mechanics. If those folks don't move along, and will come back next year anyway; SDS is simply better suited focusing on borderline folks since it's evidently inherently good enough for the dedicated folks to return.

MLB is doing the same thing by focusing on making games shorter - the diehards and traditionalists may not like it, but they aren't going anywhere, so maybe good to focus on the folks not buying/returning consistently? MLB would listen if it affected the product enough to reduce the gate, but the bottom line is those diehards still love the game enough to return despite their complaints, and likely have metrics to back the reasoning.

If you don't like the apparent game mechanics yet keep buying and playing, you send a message that it's good enough for you. Walking away would be what indicates that their choices were poor.

It's easy to blame the opponent or other factors, but most of the people who complain here don't seem to want to just concentrate on improving their own skills. The game is what it is, some are great at it and you don't see them complaining in the forums. I consider myself to be a good player (not great) and I do lose, but I never complain about the coding of the game or how my opponent played. If i lose it is because i did something wrong or that i need to improve in certain areas. If people would just cut back on the complaining and genuinely try to get better at the game they will see results.

I’m completely burned from this game in general, i don’t even play it anymore. It’s just there because my brother plays it. Idk what it is, I’m just not feeling it this year. I’ve just been buying games with really long story games and mostly COD. Don’t miss it one bit and my stress levels have gone down.

Y’all were quiet as hell when Mitch and his 90% win rate made this post a week ago tho..... now it’s someone else and y’all talking again 😂😂

Ok when a good squared for chipper jones facing a lefty is a weak fly ball but a good okay is a homerun that is a problem

How is that a problem? Do you know how baseball works?
Played baseball my entire childhood life. Sorry but when I squared a ball up I was more likely to get a hit then with okay timing and contact. I’m not some kid who doesn’t understand [censored]

Clearly you don't know what you are talking about...everything about baseball is based on science, squaring up the ball just means you are hitting it on the best part of the bat, you can swing perfectly and hit the sweet spot but if the balls threads hit off bat the wrong way you will get a pop up.

Science is fun

User input should be the most important factor in deciding outcomes, but it is not always reasonable to get angry or disappointed for losing to a "worse" or "terrible" opponent. As there is some degree of "randomness" in competition, and the better team or player does not always win.
Another possibility, however, is that your loss may be a result that your opponent is not as bad as you think they are....or possibly, you are not as good as you think you are?

Because Mitch isn’t going to make the same post over and over again on multiple accounts.

SDS

Remove the ability to check swing and the game immediately becomes 2x better.

SDS

How does nobody talk about directional being OP this year? It’s being used way more frequently than years past. The problem with online competition is the forced [censored] shots and how easy it is to sit there and wait for one while using directional. Strike zone view and directional let’s you hit with the “eye of DiMaggio” lol.

At least put a mode in the game that is zone hitting only and pitches on the corners are strikes for Christ sake.

I’ve read comments from good players on here who claim to be barely playing the game compared to past years. I’ve also read comments from good players who complain about how much bs there is in AS level and want to avoid it all together. I’ve read comments from good players who straight up don’t play anymore.

And yes, the numerous videos that have been shared which show the bs in the game makes it very easy to blame the game. You can practice your [censored] off but the videos prove the game will f you over at will to favor your opponent, it’s a fact at this point and there’s really no defense for it. It’s not a conspiracy when you can witness the bs for yourself.

Why shouldn’t the better player always be able to win while playing a video game? It’s kinda the reason why we practice to get better. It’s crazy to me that someone would be ok with losing to a lesser opponent when you clearly outplayed them.

That and call strikes on the black strikes. If that and check swings were at least called much more the random pitching wouldn’t matter as much because people couldn’t just sit on meatballs.

As much as I would love the check swing and foul ball bandits be be gone, it is part of baseball, I'd just like it toned down.

The comments about player retention on here are incessant, and yet SDS seems to have no problem whatsoever retaining the people who are making these comments in addition to the people who need retaining that they claim the game supposedly caters to in these posts. The depth of knowledge and experience the folks have who are making these comments indicate that they keep coming back themselves regardless of their dissatisfaction. Quite interesting. When I'm that fed up with something, I move along; curious as to why others don't.

There are absolutely other great baseball games available, one just dropped a week ago for $45. The demo is available for free. But, I bet you won't play it 😉

How do you know your opponent makes worse swings if you can’t see their PCI

Because I can read the feedback such as late/weak...early/ok....etc compared to my hits of good/good or perfect.

It's about even, it's a fun game and I really enjoy it. Give it a shot, I'm sure their forums would love the positive energy you bring to the community. In fact, I bet this community would buy the game for you if it meant you shut up for a week about connection problems (That no one else has but you. Stop using the wifi from McDonalds, buy your own).
