Sorry if this has been discussed here before, but when using zone hitting, do the red and blue squares shown before the first pitch to batters have any influence at all on hitting success, or is that only true when using directional hitting?
I personally think it doesn't matter with zone hitting, you can piece it up in a hot zone and fly/line out and you can good/okay it in a cold zone for a bomb.
That seems to be the consensus, but I get the feeling nobody knows how it works for sure.
